Tel Aviv (Lamaane.net) – Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, published his annual medical report on Friday, 24 April, confirming that he underwent successful treatment for a very early-stage malignant prostate tumor discovered during routine monitoring in Jerusalem, according to his official X account statement.
Full Disclosure

Netanyahu said he personally requested a two-month delay in publishing the report, stating it was intended to avoid release "at the height of the war” and to prevent what he described as "the Iranian terror regime” from spreading "even more false propaganda against Israel.”

He structured his public message into three main points: "Thank God, I am healthy. I am in excellent physical condition. I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. Thank God, it’s behind me.”

He added that a year and a half earlier he had undergone successful surgery for an enlarged benign prostate and had since been under routine medical monitoring. During that monitoring, doctors identified "a tiny spot of less than a centimeter” in the prostate, which further examination confirmed as "a very early stage of a malignant tumor, with no spread or metastases whatsoever.”

Medical Findings and Diagnosis

According to Netanyahu’s statement, physicians informed him that the condition is common among men of his age and presented two options: continued monitoring without treatment or immediate intervention. "You already know me,” he wrote. "When I’m given information in time about a potential danger, I want to address it immediately.”

He confirmed that he opted for targeted treatment, adding: "I underwent targeted treatment that removed the problem and left no trace of it. The spot disappeared completely. Thank God, I overcame this too.” Netanyahu also noted that during the treatment period he attended a few short medical sessions while continuing to read and work.

Earlier Procedures and Ongoing Health Status

The annual report also referenced Netanyahu’s previous medical history, including successful surgery for benign prostate enlargement in December 2024, implantation of a heart pacemaker in July 2023, and surgery for a hernia in March 2024. The latest assessment states that he remains in "excellent physical condition,” with all blood tests and fitness indicators returning normal results and no cardiac complications detected since the pacemaker procedure.

Hospital Acknowledgment

Netanyahu thanked medical staff at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, praising "the wonderful medical teams” involved in his care. He also issued a public health message, urging citizens: "Take care of your health. Get checked, and follow the doctors’ instructions.”

Public Reaction and Context

In Jerusalem, the announcement circulated widely through television broadcasts and social media platforms, with residents discussing both the medical and political dimensions of the disclosure. No unusual security activity or public disruption was observed in central districts following the release.

Netanyahu’s statement comes amid ongoing regional instability and persistent online misinformation, where health-related rumors about political leaders frequently circulate. The disclosure underscores the intersection of personal medical transparency, public communication strategy, and geopolitical messaging in Israel’s current environment.
